This beautiful solid walnut chest, the work of a Lombard carver, has a front with a single panel which, in the central part, is embellished by the shape of the noble coat of arms of the commissioning family; the coat of arms features an oblique band with four spheres impressed, accompanied by two stars, one at the top and one at the bottom.
The panel is finally completed, at its ends, by a pair of six-pointed half rosettes.
The body of the chest rests on a base with a richly carved, thick beading.
The chest is complete with original lock and hinges.
The state of preservation is very good. Cleaning and polishing has been carried out.
The furniture, like all our objects, is sold with a certificate of authenticity.
