L’opera, firmata e datata in basso a sinistra, reca ulteriore firma sul retro del cartone, confermandone l'autenticità. 
L'opera raffigura la Vergine Maria ai piedi della croce durante la Passione di Gesù.
La figura centrale, vestita di un intenso blu, richiama l’attenzione dello spettatore e guida la composizione, mentre le altre due figure appaiono sdraiate o inginocchiate, immerse in un’atmosfera contemplativa. Il tratto pittorico è morbido, con pennellate sciolte e luminose che restituiscono un tono impressionista e sognante alla scena.

The work, signed and dated at lower left, bears additional signature on the back of the cardboard, confirming its authenticity. 
The work depicts the Virgin Mary at the foot of the cross during the Passion of Jesus.
The central figure, dressed in intense blue, draws the viewer's attention and guides the composition, while the other two figures appear lying or kneeling, immersed in a contemplative atmosphere. The pictorial stroke is soft, with loose, luminous brushstrokes that restore an impressionistic, dreamy tone to the scene.
