Olio su tela, con una pennellata vigorosa, densa, quasi materica, tipica dell’espressionismo figurativo italiano del dopoguerra. L’uso del colore appare intenso e drammatico, con forti contrasti tra il fondo chiaro e i toni scuri del vaso e dei fiori.

I girasoli, ormai appassiti, sono rappresentati in maniera fortemente stilizzata, quasi scultorea. Le teste reclinate comunicano un senso di malinconia e contemplazione, coerente con la sensibilità artistica della fine degli anni ’50.

L’opera è firmata e datata "Platinetti 59" in basso a sinistra, confermandone l’autenticità. Al retro, l’etichetta della Galleria Romano di Biella e del pittore stesso ne rafforza la provenienza, elemento importante per la valutazione di mercato.

Misure: 100 x 60 cm – un formato verticale importante che dona forza visiva all’opera, rendendola ideale anche per contesti moderni.

Oil on canvas, with a vigorous, dense, almost textural brushstroke, typical of postwar Italian figurative expressionism. The use of color appears intense and dramatic, with strong contrasts between the light background and the dark tones of the vase and flowers.

The sunflowers, now withered, are depicted in a highly stylized, almost sculptural manner. The reclining heads convey a sense of melancholy and contemplation, consistent with the artistic sensibility of the late 1950s.

The work is signed and dated “Platinetti 59” at lower left, confirming its authenticity. On the back, the label of Galleria Romano in Biella and of the painter himself reinforces its provenance, an important element for market valuation.

Size: 100 x 60 cm - an important vertical format that gives visual strength to the work, making it ideal also for modern contexts.
