Oil on panel depicting a scene from the Gospel of John, in which Jesus meets the Samaritan woman at Jacob's well. This work, of some artistic interest, is probably attributable, in terms of scenographic setting and characterization of the figures, to the Bolognese environment of the early 17th century. The painting is of high quality, with a proportionate rendering of the figures in the foreground in front of Jacob's well, which is placed at the center of the scenic construction, while a large ruined classical column emerges slightly behind. The landscape that opens up on the horizon leads towards a city in the distance with fairytale flavors. The frame on which the panel is mounted is in red lacquer and is original and contemporary with the painting.
The dimensions of the panel are: 22 cm x 32 cm The dimensions including the frame are: 37 cm x 45 cm.
