Louis XV / Louis XVI Transition Chest of Drawers - Eastern France Era: 1780 Origin: France Dimensions: 119x50x85h cm Description: Elegant chest of drawers with two rows of drawers that combines the curvature of the Louis XV style legs with the geometric refinement of the Louis XVI taste. Rosewood and violet wood veneer, boxwood and dark wood threads, decorated with trompe-l'œil triglyphs and stylized ribbons, typical of workshops in Eastern France in the 18th century. Topped by its original white marble of the time, it features classic bronze ornaments: rosette handles, medallion vents, protective feet (sabots). Oak and resinous wood structure, intensely colored veneer, original locks. A refined, decorative, and authentic piece of furniture.
