Pair of gilded Empire-style columns – Italy, 1980s

Elegant pair of turned and fully carved columns, made of wood and completely gilded with genuine gold leaf, with a particularly bright and rich finish. The columns are inspired by the Empire style and feature a slender shaft with refined ornamental motifs in relief on the lower part, resting on a circular base with rich sculptural elements. The upper surface is in white marble, with a diameter of 41 cm. The columns are entirely gilded even on the back, making them perfect for display in the center of a room. These are handcrafted items, presumably made in the 1980s, as reproductions of historical models of great charm. Slight difference in height between the two elements: one column measures 102 cm, the other 101 cm.
