With finely hand-painted cobalt underglaze decoration, according to the tradition of the late Ming and early Qing dynasties. With a diameter of 20 cm each, these plates represent a classic example of refined Chinese production intended both for the domestic market and for export to Europe.
The blue on white technique, perfected in the imperial kilns of Jingdezhen, was particularly appreciated for the brilliance of the colors and the delicacy of the motifs, often inspired by nature, mythology, or auspicious symbolism. The quality of the porcelain and the mastery of the decoration highlight the high level achieved by Chinese artisans in the period.
These objects are not only testimonies of Eastern ceramic excellence but also precious fragments of the history of taste and collecting between East and West.
