Pope Honorius III Approves the Rule of Saint Dominic, Northern Italy, 18th century, Oil on canvas, 115 x 180 cm, framed 140 x 210 cm. Honorius III, born Cencio Savelli, Pope from 1216 to 1227, approved the rule of Saint Dominic in 1216 to found the Order of Preachers, brothers today known as Dominicans. The work, like all of our objects, will be sold with a certificate of authenticity. We personally handle and organize the packaging and shipping of our works of art, with insurance, worldwide. If the work is purchased by non-Italian customers, it will require an export certificate. This can be obtained in 10/20 working days.
