Tommaso was born in Rome on December 22, 1734, son of the painter Giovanni Conca (himself a cousin of Sebastiano Conca) and Anna Laura Scarsella; he was baptized in the church of San Lorenzo in Damaso on the 24th of that month. His first teachers were his father and his father's cousin, who taught him Baroque painting techniques.
In 1770 Tommaso became a member of the Academy of San Luca, the guild of painters in Rome, which he directed as prince in 1793.
I am attaching a photo of a Madonna with Jesus which, in my opinion, is very similar in its execution.
