Beautiful oil on panel depicting Saint Joseph in divine contemplation. The painting shows interesting pictorial qualities: The brushstrokes are applied in a precise way, but have a certain materiality, a characteristic that makes this artistic work very interesting. The modelling of the complexions develops through a skillful use of lighting effects that are clearly of Neapolitan origin. In fact, we can assert that it is an excellent painter and if we examine the drawing and pictorial qualities, we are not far from the works of Francesco De Mura in his youth. The rectangular panel was painted as an oval, in fact, it has a contemporary frame with an oval quadrant. The measurements of the panel are: 28cm x 38cm ; the measurements of the frame are 41cm x 50 cm. We attach a certificate of authenticity to the sale.
