This splendid battle between knights, of clear Neapolitan origin, leads us to the characteristic painting of Salvator Rosa, and more precisely to his talented pupil Marzio Masturzio, as confirmed by the written expertise of Professor Sestrieri. --------
The chromia with bright tones of the background is very suggestive and lends itself well to giving even more vigor to the scene, which is already full of impetuous vehemence and excited movement.
