Rare and perfectly preserved example of an antique IMPERIAL KIRMAN (KIERMAN) rug with floral motifs on a classic cardinal red ground. Exceptional naturalistic effect of the decorations that add depth to the warp and weft of the designs. The pile is pure wool with cotton warp and weft, completely hand-knotted. The border and fringe are well-preserved. Vegetable dyes. The rug, which is signed, is approximately 60 years old.
