VIENNA PORCELAIN GROUP "ALLEGORY OF DRAWING" SECOND HALF OF THE 18TH CENTURY  Translated
Description:
Refined and unique polychrome porcelain sculptural group, finely painted. The group depicts two semi-nude figures, a boy and a girl, on top of a green hill, with a tree trunk and a plinth with part of a column visible. The boy holds a sheet of paper in one hand on which a decorative vase is drawn, while behind the girl is an open book depicting parts of a face, such as ears, nose, and mouth, which leads the group to be interpreted as an allegory of drawing. The mastery of details and finishes in this work can be appreciated, making it capable of adding a touch of refinement and antiquity to any environment. The manufacturer's mark, characterized by a shield, is present on the bottom, attributable to Vienna production. Minor defects are reported. Viennese manufactory from the second half of the 18th century. Dimensions: H x W x D 17 x 11 x 11cm  Translated
