The body has a curvilinear profile with a scalloped edge, resting on four small feet. The domed lid, also shaped and scalloped, is decorated with a central floral motif, with polychrome flowers and red scrolls. The walls of the body feature the same decorative repertoire of flowers and volutes. The base is in original oxidized sandracca, characteristic of the 18th-century Venetian lacquer tradition.
