Refined folding gaming table from the early 19th century (1804-1814), by Giuseppe Maggiolini (Parabiago 1738 – 1814).
The small table features refined veneer and an inlay decoration of extraordinary quality, with an elegant geometric design.
The rectangular top features a central composition depicting a musical score and various musical instruments, interspersed with leaves. The entire surface is framed by a frieze, and naturalistic inlays appear at the four corners of the table.
The table opens to reveal a square "handkerchief" finely decorated with four floral motifs at the corners.
This type of small table was destined for the aristocratic and royal courts of the era.
The furniture is completely intact and original.
