Carved and pyrography walnut chest, of Dutch manufacture, dating to the early 17th century. The front is divided into panels arranged on two horizontal registers, separated by a central frieze, with an original iron lock in the center. The panels are decorated with figurative scenes in bas-relief and pyrography: mythological and narrative subjects can be recognized, including figures in armor, marine scenes with sailing ships and hippocampi, fantastic architecture, and grotesque motifs. The lid, which opens on wrought iron hinges, features similar decoration on the inside with mythological scenes and vegetal interlace borders. The iron key is original. The sides have iron handles. Condition report: Good general condition, with traces of old restorations and repair work. All shipments within the EU are free and professionally packed.
