Description: Pair of gilded and carved wood mirrors/ventolines from the second half of the 17th century.
The supporting structure has a central oval shape enclosed by a very rich decorative apparatus following the canons of the rocaille repertoire.
The upper part shows an asymmetrical development with large volutes, tendrils, curled acanthus leaves, and stylized shell motifs.
The lower apron, a visually relieving element, is adorned with leafy elements that conceal the anchoring point of the two arms.
At the center, an antique mercury mirror is housed, enclosed by a beaded inner molding.
