T/3635 A carpet made in Malayer (west-central Iran) during the second half of the 19th century, with cotton wefts and warps and a wool pile. Featuring a reinterpretation of the famous "Heraty" motif, typical of artifacts from the region, this example is particularly noteworthy for its size, a "Kelley", characterized by a length-to-width ratio greater than 2:1.
