Neoclassical "bureau plat" (flat-top desk) in kingwood and rosewood, with maple inlay. Stamped under the top. Top with green leather insert and brass molding. Front with five drawers, one central and two stacked on each side, with hidden compartments, a pull-out writing slide under the top on the right side. Tapering legs with brass sabots, ornamented and gilded bronze escutcheons, oak interiors. Minor losses. France, second half of the 18th Century.
