Splendid pair of embossed brass alms dishes. The brim is flat, adorned with a thin, incised stylized decoration, while the boss is raised and decorated with an oblique incised fluting motif. Furthermore, the boss is surrounded by a band with an inscription in alphabetic characters. These elegant plates were used as alms dishes during services, being held up to collect offerings. Of great taste and antiquity, these objects are capable of elegantly furnishing any environment with history. German manufacture from the first half of the 17th century.
