Demaria Frères (DMR) was a French camera manufacturing company, active in Paris between the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
Founded in 1897 by brothers Jules and Paul Demaria, the company distinguished itself through innovation in photography and early cinema equipment.

The apparatus consists of three main parts:
Lighting body (black box):
Made of metal, it originally housed an oil or gas lamp, with a chimney on top for smoke exhaust.
Fabric bellows: allow adjustment of the distance between the light source and the lens for focusing.
Brass lens: located at the front to project the image onto an external surface.
Internal condensing lens present.
Focusable lens.
Internally, as is customary, the oil lamp has been replaced by a modern electric lamp.
