Italian frame from the second half of the 19th century. A Napoleon III object in wood and plaster, finely carved, gilded, and chiseled, of excellent quality. The frame can hold a mirror or painting with the following maximum dimensions: H 36 x W 29.5 cm. It can be hung vertically or horizontally by moving the appropriate hook. This compact frame is ideal for antique dealers and interior decorators.
Structurally sound and solid, with a beautiful patina, it shows minor signs of age and two very small losses to the plaster decoration (see photo) on the left inner corner. The chiseled floral decoration is very elegant, and the gilding is beautiful. A high-quality and pleasing frame, in overall good condition.
