Elegant pair of Paris porcelain vases. The vases have a chalice shape, with a square base, ribbon handles, and a flared rim. Both are adorned with gilding, which adds further elegance, with painted decor of vegetal volutes and the depiction of four figures on each side. The latter, respectively two men and two women, feature typical French popular costumes. This is a pair of vases of great taste and refinement, capable of adding a touch of class and antiquity to any setting. Slight fading in the gilding is noted. French manufacture from the Empire period, around the early 19th century.
