Refined oil painting on canvas, depicting Saints Peter and Paul. Saint Peter on the left is depicted barefoot, with a tunic and cloak, holding a book and the keys to the church, typical attributes of the saint, symbols of the spiritual power received from Jesus. To his right is Saint Paul, also barefoot with similar clothing but in different colors, with one hand raised, while the other holds the sword, a symbol of his martyrdom. The painting, of considerable value, displays appreciation for the stylistic rendering of the figures and the wise use of colors, but shows slight gaps and defects, and some paint loss. It is a painting of great taste and refinement, capable of bestowing a touch of class and antiquity to any setting. Tuscan manufacture from the 16th century. Measurements: H x W x D 98 x 75 x 2cm
