Antique woven straw box constructed in prison facilities or monasteries on a wooden structure completely covered with straw threads of different colors joined together to form a geometric decoration that covers every surface, both internal and external, of the box (including the underside of the base). In good condition, it features a small lock with a escutcheon; one hinge has been replaced, and there are some minor missing sections in the weaving. Central Italy, 1800.
