Oil on canvas. Beautiful depiction of a young girl in traditional pastoral costume, elegant in her vest with golden fringes, hat with a peacock feather, earrings, a canteen at her waist, and a crook held firmly in her hands: it appears to be a portrait in folk costume rather than a depiction of a real commoner. Pesenti was known for his interior views, often of churches, but also for genre scenes with popular figures. The painting has been restored in the past. It is presented in a period-style frame.
