Refined bureau veneered in Indian rosewood, with geometric inlays in rosewood and fruitwoods. The upper section features a wavy top with refined carvings of geometric and floral volutes in the center. It is also equipped with two doors with mirrors, which open to reveal three shelves for storing objects. The lower section, on the other hand, has four drawers with lost-wax cast bronze handles, and a fall-front writing surface, which can serve as a desk, and which contains four further small drawers. This is a well-preserved piece of furniture, of great taste and refinement, capable of lending a touch of class and antiquity to any environment. English manufacture from the Victorian period, around the mid-19th century.
