Description George III sterling silver inkstand, John Cramer, London, 1812 Rectangular in shape, resting on four ball-and-claw feet, with two cut crystal inkwells, a central candle holder with a carrying ring, and pen rests on the sides. The molded rim is decorated at intervals with acanthus leaves, while the inkwell mounts and the candle holder feature matching decoration. Sterling silver hallmarked with 5 marks: Maker's mark: John Cramer Lion passant: alloy mark.
