Pair of elegant sculptures masterfully carved from Swiss pine, depicting a female and a male figure; the male figure, with a pensive gaze and a virile, long beard, wears a wide, draped robe and leans on a half-trunk; the female figure, with her hair partially gathered, holds two floral arrangements in her hands which echo the ornamentation of the column on which she lightly rests. She is also clad in a flowing, peplum-like drapery; both figures rest on a molded rectangular pedestal.
