Walnut veneered table with leather top - Italy, 19th century.

A central table in walnut, with a late-eclectic style, attributable to Northern Italy in the 19th century. The shaped oval top is covered in red leather within a wooden frame; the band beneath is mirror-veneered in walnut. The four turned legs rest on bulbous feet and are joined by a double H-shaped stretcher with a central turned spool element. The entirely walnut structure features shaped profiles and well-defined turned details.
Condition report: Good general condition. The leather top shows signs of use and widespread wear. Slight signs of age on the wooden structure.
