Description
Chest in wrought iron and embossed sheet metal from Northern Italy. The sheet metal was obtained from solid mass by hot forging and chiseled according to a pre-set design. The keyhole to insert the key is located in the center of the lid and is hidden by a retractable escutcheon (technical secret). The one in the center on the front is false (psychological secret). The lock occupies the entire internal surface of the lid and is of the multiple bolt type. By the force imparted by the rotation of the key, a complex lever mechanism simultaneously moves all the spring-loaded bolts.
