Lithomorphic cup with satyr – Melandri
Small, low hemispherical cup, with a compact and rounded morphology, like a polished pebble or a natural concretion. In the center of the basin, a faun-like mask emerges in relief and seems to surface from the material, as if sculpted in rock, modeled with strong expressionistic plasticity. The glazes and drips on the surface, treated with polychrome enamels with oxidative effects in shades of copper green, ferrous brown and metallic gold, accentuate the mineral and magmatic appearance of the whole, reinforcing the reading of the object as an "animated stone".
