Rare Thonet coffee table in beech wood, with beautiful shaped motifs under the rectangular top; perfectly restored. Michael Thonet (Boppard, July 2, 1796 – Vienna, March 3, 1871) was an Austro-Hungarian cabinetmaker, one of the protagonists of design in the Victorian era. His sons and grandchildren followed in his footsteps until the early 20th century.
