GINORI "FOUR SEASONS" SCULPTURE, SECOND HALF OF THE 18TH CENTURY  Translated
Description:
Wonderful polychrome porcelain sculpture depicting the allegory of the four seasons. The figures embodying winter, autumn, spring, and summer are harmoniously arranged around a tree on an idyllic hill, surrounded by flowers and streams. Winter is represented by a bearded old man in a colorful toga, autumn is embodied by a young Bacchus with bunches of grapes and a chalice in his hand. Spring is a woman with garlands of flowers, while summer is a brightly colored woman holding an ampoule. This rare and refined sculpture is attributable to the Ginori manufactory of the second half of the 18th century (circa 1760). Minor wear is noted. Measurements: H x W x D 28 x 15 x 11cm  Translated
