Description
This 18th-century Sicilian table is made with various types of wood, including rosewood, walnut, and maple. The rectangular top features a sophisticated geometric and radial decoration at the center, with a star motif inscribed in a contrasting wood frame. The edge is embellished with a bronze profile. The side bands are enriched with inlays of geometric and linear patterns, highlighted by the use of woods of different shades to create effects of depth and chromatic contrast, as well as the presence of a finely crafted bronze profile. The corners are emphasized by vertical fluted panels, typical of the Sicilian neoclassical style. The tapered and fluted legs contribute to the elegance of the piece, lending lightness to the structure.
