Description
George III sterling silver tureen, Paul Storr, London, 1813
In the Rococo style, surmounted by a domed, oval, lobed lid enclosed by a flat, wavy edge and decorated with a twisted handle. The lid connects to a gadroon-decorated base. Crest engraved on one side. The whole rests on a "C" scroll edge decorated with flowers and divided by shell-shaped pendants, above bulbous lobed sides.
