Baroque drop-front desk in walnut and walnut burl with rosewood threads. Serpentine front with three drawers, upper drop-front reveals an interior with two drawers surmounted by open compartments, central door with underlying sliding top concealing secret drawers. Chiseled and gilded bronze handles and escutcheons, feet and apron are serpentine and carved. Veneto, mid-18th Century.
