Bohemian Crystal Eight-Light Chandelier from 1950, an elegant living room chandelier with eight arms made in Italy in the mid-twentieth century entirely of Bohemian crystal. It has a central baluster stem formed by vases of printed and ground crystal, is delimited at the lower and upper ends by two important shaped crystal cups, richly decorated with two rows of almond pendants with festoons of octagons.
From the central cup depart eight curved arms in solid crystal, with a deep scroll curving downwards and a faceted surface; they end with saucer-shaped drip pans with an original flower shape and milky glass candles. The eight arms alternate with crystal arms pointing upwards, with the same workmanship and floral bobeches, but ending with precious prism-shaped pinnacles.
The chandelier does not have a chain or cup, these can be supplied on request. One pinnacle has been replaced and there are two missing pieces on the bobeches, see photographic details. It weighs 24 kg.
It has been completely disassembled and rewired according to European standards and is fully functional with 8 E14 bulbs.
The excellent quality of the transparent crystal and the multitude of faceted pendants emphasize the magical effect of reflected light, making this antique 20th century chandelier very scenic, bright and ideal for both classic and contemporary environments. Period: 1950
