The painting reflects the pictorial styles of the 18th century: in a vast landscape with mountain peaks in the background, a river flows, along which houses stand; at the center of the scene it is crossed by a stone bridge, on which several figures pass, while other characters carry out their daily tasks on the path or along the river itself. The painting is presented in a contemporary gilded wood frame.
