Pair of etchings by Swiss engraver Paul Girardet (Neuchâtel 1821-Paris 1893) after paintings by Constant Brochart (Lille 1816-Paris 1889). Large outdoor scenes depicting respectively "La fille adoptive" (The adopted daughter) and "La vraie mère" (The true mother). The engravings were published in Paris by Goupil in 1869. Mounted in antique gilded frames. Restoration only to the edge of the second, otherwise in excellent condition. Measurements with frame cm 88x101
