Fabulous oval oil painting on canvas, in a carved wooden frame gilded with pure gold leaf. The painting depicts the goddess Diana, sitting on a red throne, with a dress revealing her breast and her attribute above her head, that is the Moon. Around her are her handmaidens, one of whom holds a zither in her hand. This is a particular and enjoyable scene due to the skillful use of colors and realism. Tuscan manufacture from the early 18th century.
