Pair of marble cherubs, 17th century

Charming pair of white marble cherub busts, 17th century. The two figures, sculpted as half busts and placed in a symmetrical position, display plump and idealized faces, with childlike expressions and flowing hair. Their shoulders are draped in richly carved acanthus leaf motifs. The marble needs cleaning.
