Lenci, "Fighting Rooster", Polychrome Ceramic, design by Vacchetti Sandro, Turin, 1930s Polychrome ceramic sculpture, made by Lenci in Turin around the 1930s, based on a design by Vacchetti Sandro (1889 - 1974). A figure of a rooster in slip-cast earthenware, painted with polychrome decoration. The rooster designed by Vacchetti is a blend of fantasy and reality: it combines natural elements with abstract patterns in the feathers, giving it an ornamental quality, while the colors and details of the legs and eyes are realistic.
