The Marchisio company was founded in Moncalieri in 1649 and was appointed jeweler to their Royal Highnesses. From 1846 it was goldsmith to the royal family of Savoy and created a gold jewelry box weighing 14 KG for Queen Margherita, wife of Umberto I, a gift from the city of Turin. It became the largest and most important factory in the city, based in Via Po. In 1968 it was transformed into the current Marchisio Giovanni e C. snc, in 2013 it was acquired by the Richemont Group, a Swiss luxury giant, and works for major international brands Cartier, Piaget, Buccellati, Van Cleef & Arpels.
