Pair of lacquered armchairs
Refined pair of “tub” armchairs, in milk-white lacquered wood, embellished with gilded profiles and delicate floral decorations that enhance their formal grace and compositional balance. The structure, compact and harmonious, has a linear profile that elegantly frames the padding of the seat and back, offering visual and functional comfort.
The curved, soft and enveloping armrests accompany the line of the backrest, typical of the “tub” model. The armchairs rest on slender truncated-pyramidal supports, connected by a perimeter belt decorated with floral motifs, and ending with elegant pear-shaped ferrules, distinctive elements that underline the attention to detail.
Venice, Louis XVI (second half of the 18th century).
