This exceptional Italian sideboard was crafted in the 1950s and is attributed to Vittorio Dassi, with inlays likely executed by Anzani. The exterior is clad in parchment and features refined inlaid decorations inspired by classical and mythological themes, characteristic of mid-century Italian craftsmanship. Two sculptural column bases in gold leaf–gilded wood rest on circular bases of green marble and brass.
The top is finished with green mirrored glass, adding depth and an elegant reflective quality. The interior is lined in maple wood and includes brightly colored drawers in yellow and red, offering a vivid contrast to the more subdued exterior. Combining fine materials and expert craftsmanship, this sideboard is not only a functional storage piece but also a striking decorative object that captures the essence of 1950s Italian design.
