Refined set of four walnut armchairs, made in northern Italy in the second half of the 18th century, in full Louis XVI style. These seats are distinguished by the elegance of the lines and by a rare decorative motif carved in the back: a radiant sun, a suggestive iconographic element that recalls classical or allegorical symbologies. The armchairs have straight backs, truncated conical fluted legs and slightly curved armrests, typical features of the Louis XVI style, which is inspired by Greek-Roman classicism. The solid walnut structure shows a warm and uniform patina, the result of time and craftsmanship. Dimensions (each armchair): Height 90 cm – Width 58 cm – Depth 50 cm Condition: Good. The structures are solid and well preserved. Preventive anti-woodworm treatment and light polishing are recommended to further enhance the original patina. Shipping: We ship worldwide.
