Born near Venice in 1957, Buttò began his exhibition career in 1993, the year in which his first monograph was published, entitled "Portraits from Saturn: 1989-1992". Since then, numerous solo exhibitions have followed in Italy, Europe and the United States (in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco). In addition to two other monographic volumes "Works 1993-1999" and "Martyrologium" (2007), the Mondo Bizzarro gallery in Rome published the latest catalog on the occasion of the recent exhibition: "Blood is my favorite color" (2012).
