Oval oil on canvas painting of the Madonna with child and Saint Rita from the 18th century, Venetian painter. This oval painting was made with the oil on canvas technique in the 18th century by a Venetian painter born around 1600 who was part of the Pittoni circle. It is currently located in our warehouses in Roncadelle (Brescia). It depicts the Madonna embracing the baby Jesus and Saint Rita of Cascia, recognizable by the rose placed on her heart, an important symbol because, just like this flower, Saint Rita managed to flourish despite the thorns that life presented to her. The adoring face of the Saint combines well with the sweetness represented in the eyes of the other two protagonists of the painting, thus giving peace and serenity to the viewer. The author of the painting decides to use strong chiaroscuro that refers to the seriousness of the painting, which, rich in details, becomes a masterpiece of sacred art thanks to the golden wooden frame that surrounds the painting. Frame dimensions: Width 86.5 cm - Height 115.5 cm. Canvas dimensions: Width 75 cm - Height 105 cm. Product reference code: 1052
