Claudio Francesco Beaumont, Moncalieri 1694 - Turin 1766, received his initial training in the Savoy capital, drawing inspiration from the masters of the previous generation, particularly Daniel Seiter and Bartolomeo Guidobono. Between 1716 and 1719, thanks to the benevolence of Queen Anne d'Orléans, the artist had the opportunity to undertake a profitable study trip to Bologna and Rome, the fruits of which allowed him to fulfill prestigious commissions from the royal family. Our graceful canvas can be related to the canvases located in the apartments of the Royal Palace in Turin.
